Emily Melville received her MFA in Fashion Design in 2008 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her design interest is working with fabric directly on the dress form, draping and experimenting with unusual silhouettes, and drafting original garment shapes.
Since 2010, she has been teaching draping, patternmaking, and fashion design at the Academy of Art, and in 2018 she joined the Fashion Department at the SRJC teaching, draping, pattern making, and clothing construction.
Emily lives in Graton California with her husband and two children.
